Wallace Seminary
A log school named the West Nantmeal Seminary School was constructed southwest of ―the green at the junction‖ in the village of Wallace in the early nineteenth century. After it burned c. 1828, Edward Hunter constructed the current schoolhouse on his property in 1830 with the proviso that any religious organization could use it for their services.
Slater Construction and Restoration LLC began restoration of the Wallace Seminary in two phases. Phase one entailed the installation of a new wood shingle roof along with repairs to the soffit and facia. Phase two included white washing the structure, painting all exterior wood work, landscaping, and completely restoring the privies.
